Affiliate Disclosure
VIBE HIGH participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain outbound links on this site and then make a purchase or booking, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This page lists every program we participate in and explains how that relationship shapes (or doesn't shape) what we publish.
This disclosure is required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255).
Programs we participate in
Amazon Associates
VIBE HIGH is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Our Amazon Associates tag is vhcc710-20. We use Amazon links primarily for cannabis accessories (vaporizers, storage, rolling supplies) and travel gear.
Awin
We are an Awin publisher (publisher ID 2859787). Through Awin we participate in travel affiliate programs including Booking.com, Viator, and GetYourGuide. We use these for accommodation, tour, and activity recommendations on our travel-adjacent and tourism guide pages.
How affiliate links work on this site
When you click an affiliate link, your browser is redirected to the merchant's site through a tracking URL. The merchant or the affiliate network records that the click originated with us. If you complete a qualifying purchase within their attribution window (typically 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the program), we receive a small commission. The price you pay is the same either way.
We don't see your name, payment information, or what you ultimately bought. The affiliate network reports back aggregate commissions only.
How this shapes our editorial
We recommend products and services we think USVI residents and visitors would actually find useful. Two rules we hold ourselves to:
- We don't recommend something we wouldn't recommend without the commission. If a product or operator doesn't belong in a guide, no affiliate payout changes that.
- We don't rank or rate by commission. Where we compare options, the ordering reflects editorial judgment, not which program pays more.
Where a link is part of an affiliate program, we mark it inline when it isn't already obvious from context. Articles that lean heavily on affiliate links carry a notice at the top.
Display advertising
Separately from affiliate links, VIBE HIGH sells display advertising directly to USVI cannabis operators and adjacent businesses. Direct ads are clearly marked as advertising or sponsored. They follow the same editorial firewall: paying for an ad does not influence news coverage or directory ranking.
