Healthy Alternatives
Healthy Alternatives in Cruz Bay's Chocolate Hole has stepped away from CBD retail and holds a conditional cannabis dispensary license on St. John.

Healthy Alternatives, the Cruz Bay storefront in Chocolate Hole formerly known for CBD and wellness products, is moving toward opening a licensed cannabis dispensary on St. John. The Office of Cannabis Regulation listed the parent entity, MCCV Enterprise, LLC dba Healthy Alternatives, on its January 16, 2026 public notice of approved Conditional Cannabis Dispensary License applicants - one of three conditional licensees on St. John, which is allowed just three dispensaries total.
Healthy Alternatives is one of two CBD-to-dispensary transitions on the OCR conditional list, alongside Virgin Abis at Mongoose Junction. The CBD retail era of the business has wound down following the January 2026 freeze on intoxicating hemp products.
Current status
No licensed dispensary on St. John is selling cannabis to the public yet. OCR has said regulated sales will begin in 2026, pending completion of the regulatory framework and final approvals. Healthy Alternatives has not announced an opening date for the dispensary.
